imc Learning Suite introduces major enhancements with Innovation Pack 14.21

Saarbruecken, 8 August 2024

The imc Learning Suite features major enhancements that improve user experience, increase flexibility, and provide better integration.

imc AG is pleased to announce the launch of the Innovation Pack 14.21 release for the imc Learning Suite, which brings a host of new features and improvements across various modules of the enterprise learning platform. This release is designed to significantly enhance user experience, increase flexibility, and provide better integration capabilities.

Key enhancements in IP 14.21

Gamification module upgrades

The gamification module in the imc Learning Suite has been significantly enhanced to provide a more engaging and intuitive user experience. Key improvements include:

  • Enhanced progress tracking with level indicators and comprehensive learning journey overviews.
  • A new dashboard panel displaying experience tracks and a dedicated badges panel showing all badges, including those in progress.
  • Detailed progress information accessible on individual badge details pages and the "My Experience" page.

These upgrades aim to boost motivation and engagement through a more visually appealing interface, making it easier for users to monitor their accomplishments and stay motivated.

Booking request panel improvements

Administrators now have greater flexibility and control over the course view tab in the Booking Request Panel. In addition, they can configure which user attributes are displayed, enhancing the customisation and usability of the panel.

Academa connector integration

A major addition in this release is the Academa Connector, allowing course administrators to seamlessly integrate Academa as a third-party content provider within the imc Learning Suite. This integration includes:

  • Automatic creation of media objects for courses, catalogues, or channels.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) for a seamless connection between the imc Learning Suite and Academa.

This feature enriches the training offerings with diverse content, making it easier to add and manage third-party materials.

Enhanced re-certification module

The IP 14.21 release completes a series of enhancements around the Re-certification module, offering a streamlined and efficient process. New features include:

  • Automatic course creation workflows within course templates, aligning with recertification periods.
  • Consideration of overdue, failed, and cancelled learners in the re-certification cycle with automatic status changes after due dates are reached.

These improvements simplify course creation, curation, and participant management, reducing administrative effort and ensuring all learners remain in the certification cycle.

Course scheduling notifications

Administrators now receive notifications of time conflicts when changing course start or end dates, preventing double bookings and optimising scheduling. This feature also applies to courses created via the Easy Course Creation workflow.

Third-party content integration

Administrators and content creators can now easily add third-party content from providers like Udemy, Pluralsight, or Academa:

  • Available in the Channel administration and via the Easy Media Upload functionality.
  • Enables seamless content publication and access within learner channels.

This update ensures that content creators can stay within their workflow, making the process of populating channels with third-party content more efficient.
